About Drea Montali

Hi, I’m Drea! I founded “Dream Organization” back in 2017 in hopes to bring peace and serenity to our clients’ homes. TBH, I always have a hard time writing my “bio” because there is so much I want to say about my organizing journey but want to keep it simple, concise and to the point a.k.a minimal (the irony).

After 15+ years in the fashion and home improvement industry, I became very attracted to the home organization industry. I worked as a visual merchandiser for brands like lululemon, Reebok as well as some smaller NYC based boutiques and then became a closet designer for California Closets. I saw home organization as a way to combine these skills and help people in their most sacred space; their home.

I grew up in Queens, NY where let’s face it- space is pretty limited! I shared an apartment with my mother and grandmother after they emigrated from Romania back in the 80’s. I then went on to live with countless roommates post college and really needed to keep my personal inventory minimal to fit in one closet and a dresser. I would move with about two suitcases and some furniture and that’s it. One thing I always invested in; matching hangers. Usually black felt ones. It was that simple detail of a matching hanger that brought some calm to my chaos.

Fast forward to now, 2024, and we are almost in business 7 years. Here are some other lessons I have learned along the way about how organization can change lives:

  • A clutter free and organized space helps with anxiety, concentration and productivity.

  • A clutter free and organized space gives you more time to do the things you love and you spend less time cleaning up.

  • A clutter free and organized space will improve your relationships- less fighting with your significant other/roommate/etc. and more time enjoying each other’s company.

  • A clutter free and organized space will SAVE YOU MONEY! No more buying random stuff you already had and forgot about. No more buying random stuff just because it’s “on sale.”

When I am not organizing, you can find me spending time with my husband and business partner, Mike, playing USTA tennis, traveling, writing, researching all things fashion and interior design and hanging out with my pup, Otis!
